My name is Adriana (Adri) Gaal, and I am a Senior at Georgia Southern University – Armstrong Campus. I was born in Mexico City and raised in the Bay Area. I followed my parents two years ago when they decided to retire in the South. I currently live in Effingham County, which was a complete culture shock for me, and living almost an hour away from Savannah didn’t help much. However, I don’t mind the drive now, and I have come to really love it here – everything except for the heat.
My major is Professional English Communication and I have a passion for Tourism Public Relations. Once I graduate in May 2019, my dream is to first save enough money to pay for a teaching course and become an English educator abroad. Although very different, the two places I would be very interested in teaching are Spain and Japan.
Interning with Abshire PR has taught me that everything is very fast paced in this industry and that there is an array of clients and tasks one must juggle in order to get the job done. Aside from this internship, I am also a server at Metro Diner and am involved in a couple of organizations at school. In my free time, I love listening to podcasts, going on hikes, and drinking boba.
